# EKSEPTION — Agent Instructions (Expanded)

This document describes how AI agents can interact with EKSEPTION's online store at
https://www.ekseption.com. It is the expanded companion to https://www.ekseption.com/agents.md, the
canonical entry point.

## Store Context
- Markets served: España, EU, International, US and Canada. Currency: EUR.
- **What this store carries.** Luxury multi-brand fashion and beauty retailer based in Madrid, Spain, serving España, EU, International, US and Canada markets. The catalog spans fashion, beauty and fragrance, homeware and magazines -- do not assume fashion only.


- **Sizing convention.** Apparel options use French sizing (34, 36, 38, 40). Each variant also carries a normalised universal size (XS, S, M, L), exposed as "size" on the variant in the product's structured data. Compare the normalised size, not the raw French option value, when matching sizes across stores.

- **Prefer structured data over scraping.** Every product page emits `ProductGroup` with `hasVariant`
  per variant; every collection page emits `CollectionPage` with `ItemList`; both product and
  collection pages emit `BreadcrumbList`. Read these JSON-LD blocks for catalog, pricing and
  availability data instead of parsing rendered HTML.

### Live Catalog (No Static Enumeration)

This document does not list brands, categories or products: the Liquid context available here has
no access to the catalog to generate such a list, and even if it did, a static snapshot would go
stale the moment the catalog turns over. Use these always-current sources instead:

## Commerce Protocol (UCP)

This store implements the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) for agent-driven commerce. The two
endpoints to know:

- **Discovery** — `GET https://www.ekseption.com/.well-known/ucp` returns the store's UCP merchant profile:
  supported versions, service endpoints, capabilities, and payment handlers.
- **MCP endpoint** — `POST https://www.ekseption.com/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`. Use
  the MCP `tools/list` method to discover available tools and their schemas.

### Typical Agent Flow

1. **Discover** — `GET https://www.ekseption.com/.well-known/ucp` to confirm capabilities
2. **Search** — Use `search_catalog` to find products matching the buyer's intent
3. **Cart** — Use `create_cart` to add desired items
4. **Checkout** — Use `create_checkout` to start the purchase flow
5. **Fulfill** — Use `update_checkout` to set shipping address and method
6. **Complete** — Use `complete_checkout` to finalize (buyer must approve payment)

### Important Rules

- **Checkout requires human approval.** Agents must not complete payment without explicit, contemporaneous
  buyer consent.
- **Respect rate limits.** The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per IP. Back off on 429 responses.
- **Use buyer context.** Pass `context.address_country` and `context.currency` for accurate pricing and
  availability.
