Collection: Needles

Keizo Shimizu opened his first Nepenthes store in Japan in the 1980s. He sold vintage pieces and US military surplus stock along with other established American brands. She moved the store to New York in the '90s and created the Needles brand when she ran into difficulty finding enough American-made vintage pieces. The brand's style is influenced by American cultural movements but the collections are produced with vintage Japanese fabrics and pieces.
